Annual Conference

 

PHAB Annual Conference provides school leaders from the Bristol area an opportunity to valuable chance to spend time with colleague education leaders from across the city.

In 2020 the conference was held on 12th and 13th March, at the St. Pierre Marriott Hotel & Country Club, Chepstow.

​

Thursday 12th March

Starting from 9.30, a full day of leadership CPD was delivered by Contender Charlie who ran a workshop on Inspirational Leadership through Shakespeare’s Henry V. It was an engaging (and fun) way to ask questions about current leadership challenges in schools and relate them to Henry V’s leadership journey.

​

Then, from 4pm, An opportunity to partake in some activities to develop your thinking skills further, including clay pigeon shooting and blindfolded 4x4 driving. This was be followed by a delegate’s dinner complete with after-dinner entertainment.

Friday 13th March

A morning featuring a diverse collection of speakers, including:

​

- Will Gompertz, the BBC arts editor, argued that every school should be an art school.

​

- Aisha Thomas asked how we can diversify the profession and develop our curriculum to better represent the city.

​
